You won't catch me around here.

Hello, my dear friends.

I haven't updated in awhile but college has not yet swallowed me whole. It's actually kind of amazing.
But I wanted you all to know that this will probably be the last time I update this journal because I've made a new one. I've had living_in_ennui since the winter of my high school sophomore year. It's helped me chronicle a lot of good times, as well as some bad ones, and for that I'm grateful. I've also met a lot of awesome people on here and I'd like to keep in touch with you. If you would like to, you can find me at conscientiously. If you don't want to add me, that's cool too. It was nice knowing you.

Farewell, old livejournal. Here's to an amazing future.

First day.

So I'm here in Orlando now. Yesterday was such a long day. I woke up at five so I could check in around 9. I have TV and internet and food so I pretty much have everything I need. Andrea and my cousin are rooming together and we’re so close that I can actually see their windows from my own, which is pretty convenient. Jolene is pretty close too so we’ve been hanging out a bit. Stephanie helped Patrick move in so I saw his apartment over at the towers, which is nice. Today Jolene, Andrea, and I went to the campus so we could find our classes. We also checked out the bookstore and library. I have to keep reminding me that I need to use money for food and other necessities so that I don’t spend it all on books. Since Jolene was here for the summer, she had a good idea of where everything is so because of her I was able to find all the buildings I need. I am so grateful.
So far I really like being on my own though. It's kinda scary, and I feel slightly overwhelmed but I think I'm okay. I don't know if it's totally hit though because I actually feel like I'm on a field trip.
My only problem so far is my roommates. One never even showed up. The other two and I are all quiet and kind of just do our own thing so we’ve barely spoken. It’s such a weird situation. When I was moving in my stuff yesterday, there was one in her room yesterday and I didn’t even know it because she was so quiet. Then the other one showed up, but didn’t come out of her room for a good twenty minutes to say hello. They seem to be nice but I’d like to get to know them a little better since we’re going to be living together. I know that I should probably open up and The problem with having your own separate bedroom is that it’s very possible to never see your roommates. And we have nothing in the living room, not even a TV, so there’s no reason to hang out there together. I’m not terribly concerned about it though because, although I wish we were all a little friendlier, we have a year together. And if it turns out that we don’t get along, I’ve got enough friends around here.

Gotta keep moving on, moving on, fly away, breakaway.

This is my last night in the Hill for a little while. Tomorrow I have to be in Orlando around nine to move into my apartment. I found one of my roommates on facebook but I haven't heard anything from the other two, so meeting them should be interesting.
Oddly enough, I've been anxious for this moment for several years but suddenly I feel very nervous and even sad. I don't like the idea of leaving anything or anyone behind. But mostly I'm afraid that something bad will happen and I won't be around to help with the situation or even prevent it. I guess I feel kind of like my parents. They're freaking out about me going because they're worried about my safety and my ability to basically live on my own and I'm paranoid about leaving because I don't want anything to happen here. That's something I need to get over. I really wish I could bring my dog with me. I've had her for seven years and, forgive me, but, I think I'm going to miss her more than anyone else.
But I finally am grateful that I won't be too far away. The two hour drive back suddenly seems very convenient. Not that I'm not excited to be moving. I am.

And now I need to go to sleep because I have to wake up in three and a half hours. :)

We went to Johnny Carino's for dinner and then Coldstone for dessert where we mostly hung out in the parking lot acting like crazy people.

True Story: A few months ago, there was this kid that tried to insult us by calling us the "Nerd Herd." Lo and behold, we liked the name so we kept it.

Most are mine but I stole some from Grace which are at the bottom.
I know there's a big world out there like the one I saw on the screen.

I made a sort of diary thing while I was there. So...here goes!

Saturday.
We arrived in St. Augustine after a three hour ride. Instead of staying in a hotel, my mother rented a house for the week, which is pretty sweet. Right now the house holds myself, my parents, my mother’s cousin (Eileen), Eileen’s husband (Bernie), their two kids (David and Alex) and my other cousin, TheOtherBianca. The house is two stories and just all-around very beachy. There are actually flip-flops hanging on the wall near me as I type this. As soon as we got here the adults started blaring the Spanish music and almost set the grill on fire, which was not so fun. But then we went to the beach, which is a very close walk. It’s a private beach especially for the people staying in this area so it’s very empty which is good or bad, depending on how you look at it. We swam for a bit and then my cousins and I built a sandman. I meant to name him but I forgot to.

Dogs are allowed on the beach so Lillie got to experience it for the first time. I’m happy to have her here (and away from my grandparents who spoil her too much) but I hope I don’t regret bringing her because she’s already tried to run away about three times. Twice she ran after other dogs and once she just sort of wandered off until we found her trying to get into the pool. It’s odd because usually she is very well behaved and stays close by. Hopefully she’ll start behaving because this really is not the ideal place to lose her.

Sunday.
This morning Lillie woke me up at seven to walk her. I couldn’t figure out why she didn’t wake up my father but I got up, took her out, and went back to sleep. When my mom woke me up later, we all found out that not only had I walked her, but so had my father and Eileen. She also woke up Bernie, jumped in bed with Alex and David, and jumped on Bianca’s face in the middle of the night. I thought she’d be happy to go on a real vacation but she’s really misbehaving. It’s kind of embarrassing and I’m afraid that everyone is going to hate her by the end of the trip. Right now I’m grateful that she’s so cute.

Anyway, today we went into the city and took a trolley to see where all the main attractions are located. There are over four hundred years of history here so everything is very interesting. I wouldn’t mind Florida so much if I lived in a place like this. We stopped at the cathedral, which is very pretty, and walked around a bit. Around 8 we went on the “ghost experience tour.” I’m pretty sure I didn’t see any ghosts but I did learn more about the history of the city. St. Augustine is the third most “haunted” city in the country, following Savannah, Georgia and New Orleans, Louisiana. There are actually several different ghost tours: you can walk, ride a trolley, tour in a hearse, and sail in a boat. Pirates are also a really big theme around here…which is pretty rad. So far the adults have been doing a craptastic job of leading us around so the kids are taking over now. I sat with my cousins and we planned out the next three days of sightseeing. My mother will probably regret putting me in charge because I am determined to see everything.

Monday.
Today we got up early and went back into the city. We walked all the way down St. George Street and then went into Potter’s Wax museum, which was kind of lame. I went to Madame Tussaud’s a few years ago and I have yet to see anything that can compare. But, in all fairness, Potter’s museum has been around since at least the 50’s (some of the figures were used in the 1953 version of “The Wax House”) and even now they’re all still done by hand. In New York they’re all done using computers. Also, the ones in New York are all celebrities, most of which are still alive, so it’s possible to do real casts of their faces. The ones here are mostly of historical figures so it’s a bit harder to get the exact shape.
After that we went to see the holy mission shrine…which is where the first documented mass in America was located. They also have the original outer coffin of Pedro Menendez de Aviles, which was cool. Right after that, we went to the Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Museum. It’s not the only one (there’s also one in Orlando, although I haven’t been to it) but it was the original. Ripley himself created the museum and several stunts featured on the show were filmed in the parking lot of the museum. That place was really cool. I highly recommend it if you ever have the chance to see one.

Thursday.
I haven’t updated during the past couple of days because I was either way too tired or just completely forgot. I’ve decided that traveling is big groups is not really a good idea. I started to become very annoyed with other members of our group because we kept having problems deciding where to go. My aunt and uncle drove up to visit us so there were a total of ten in the group. But anyway, we went to the lighthouse first. The 219 step climb up to the top was tiring but it was worth it because the view was so nice. Afterward we went back into the city and ate at the “famous” Columbia restaurant, did a little sugar-packeting and stole some fancy paper towels. All we did was walk around a bit more and then left to go home. Then my cousins and I went swimming.

On Wednesday we started by taking the tour of the Old Jail, which is located at the trolley station. We bought tickets for the trolley for four days so it would take us to the important stops and pick us up whenever we needed to go home. And having different tour guides gave us new information every time we rode it and some of the drivers were really funny and interesting, particularly Ted and Wendy. (Don’t ask.) We then took the trolley to Flagler College and took the tour there. It used to be the Ponce de Leon Hotel and was converted into a school in 1967. The architecture is nothing short of amazing. I considered transferring before I even took the tour. Next, we walked to the winery. I didn’t get to sample any wine but I did go on the tour, which was all right. The adults played in the gift shop for a bit and then we went to the fountain of youth. I always thought the fountain didn’t exist at all. There’s even proof that Juan Ponce de Leon found it. The water has been somewhat depleted so it looks more like a hole in the ground but they give you cups of water to let you drink from it. The water tastes pretty gross, though. And it’s pretty unlikely that it can actually provide the drinker with youthfulness so…the fountain of youth doesn’t really exist but it’s here in St. Augustine.
After we got home we went to the beach for a bit. The water is a tad bit too wave-y because it kept knocking me over and I felt like I was drowning a few times. I prefer the pool. I also completed my fifth roll of film on this day.

We decided to take a break day today. My cousins and I spent a large part of the day sitting around in pajamas and then went down to the pool for a while. I really enjoy spending time with them and I wish I had the opportunity to see them more often. Basically all we do is tease each other a lot but it’s fun and I miss David and Alex every year when they leave. I don’t even see Bianca much and she only lives a few blocks away from me. It’s pathetic.

Friday.
Last day in St. Augustine. :( We woke up this morning, sat around for a bit, and then went back into the city for the last day. I saw el Castillo de San Marco, aka The Fort. It’s not as cool as the ones in Puerto Rico but I couldn’t leave without seeing it. We saw the “Spanish soldiers” fire a cannon, so that was cool. Afterwards, we went back to the Memorial Presbyterian church, which Henry Flagler erected for his daughter after she passed away, but it was closed. It’s really pretty, though. Then my mom, Bianca, and Eileen, and I went shopping and I bought a couple of nifty things. Then we came back to the house, went swimming, and just sat around. I’m very sad that it’s my last night here but I’m exhausted so I think I’ll stop typing now.

Saturday.
Finally home now. I am happy to be back, although I did enjoy myself. Yesterday I found out that my grandmother had laid down to take a nap and fell off her bed. A lamp fell on her and damaged her eye pretty badly. I went to see her today and she looked okay…I’m just doubly concerned because she has enough physical problems to be getting on with. And when it was time to leave and I went to say good-bye to my grandfather, I told him that I’m leaving for UCF on Friday and he became really upset. He was suddenly very quiet and his eyes started to water. I wish I had brought it to his attention earlier to it wouldn’t have come as so much of a shock but I didn’t realize it myself. I just kept thinking that I start school at the end of August. He watched my mother grow up, and saw my sister move out, and my sister has kids but they live with her in Utah so I’m the only one left. I hate seeing him so upset but I can’t do anything. I can’t just stay in Spring Hill forever. I wish he wouldn’t become so emotional though. But it made me realize that this week is going to be harder than I thought. I don’t want to say good-bye to everyone. I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous because I’ll only be two hours away so I’ll be home a lot and I know I’ll see everyone again. But I still can’t help but be slightly upset.
And, for those of you that have been asking, my cousin Bianca is doing all right. I still don’t really know what happened though because she didn’t talk to me about it and the story keeps changing. The most recent story is that her ex-boyfriend was at her birthday party and was drinking. They’re still really good friends (even now, which is insane) and it seems that he might’ve been the one that hurt her (and possibly knocked her unconscious). I wish this wasn’t the case but it is the scenario that makes the most sense. Supposedly she feels bad for him about something and that’s why they’re still friends…I don’t know, I’m way out of the loop and nothing makes sense to me. Either way, she’s okay and she’s moving back to UCF on Tuesday and I’ll be moving on Friday.

St. Augustine on the morrow.

Tomorrow morning (a few hours from now) I am leaving to go to St. Augustine for one week. Naturally, I only have about half of my things packed. But anyway, I'll be there with my parents and some cousins and another cousin and some other various relatives will be visiting, and even my dog is going. Fun times? Hopefully. So, yes, I'll be returning on Saturday. Adios, amigos.

I am back from New York now. I didn't quite enjoy myself as much as I usually do because we really just sat around a lot. I did like spending time with my family, though. I'm going to try to go back sometime during the next few months and spend more time in the city. I <3 the city.

My cousin Bianca has been at UCF most of the summer. I found out today that on her birthday last week she was stupidly walking around Pegasus Connection alone at night. I don't know exactly what happened but appparently some guy said something to her and she responded by flipping him off. He then rounded up a bunch of girls to trap her in a bathroom and beat her up. I don't know how she is but I am so fucking pissed off right now.

I'll probably update while I'm there but, to all you Spring Hillians, I'll be back on Monday so I'll see you then.

(P.S. I just decided that I'm wearing my *Nsync shirt on the plane. Being lame is awesome!)

No matter which way you go, no matter which way you stay, you're out of my mind.

I got back from orientation yesterday at around six in the evening. I feel like I've been gone a week. I am actually sore from all the running around the campus. (I got lost many times.) Throughout the entire thing they keep telling you to Grow up, because you're a college student now but they treat you like a little kid with all the non-stop cheering and the annoying games. I felt particularly like I was in middle or high school when I had to find someone to sit with to eat. The whole thing is a blur but this is the shortened version:

DAY1. Wake up after 2 1/2 hours of sleep! Go go go, get lost trying to find the parking garage (no signs up like they promised). Walk, student union, check-in and receive The Dreaded Yellow Bag of Orientation Doom, sit down, random music. Introduction: Welcome welcome welcome, advertisements! O-teamers dance a lot. They are obviously high on life (?). LOTS OF CHEERING!!1 (I know how to spell UCF, damnit.) Split up into groups (Kisha's Kritters), walk, stupid ice breakers (meow). Go on an hour and fifteen minute tour (in the hot, blazing Florida sun) of the campus. Surprise! Get the magical UCF ID Card of goodness. Return for a craptastic lunch and sit through a boring presentation about financial aid. Split up into groups depending on major (Arts & Humanities and Sciences). (Things get more interesting now.) Go to actual school, meet with head person. Try not to get lost finding Advising group (CAH/COS1). Back to Key West 218 for some really retarded games causing you to lost all dignity you ever had. (Evolution = rock, paper, scissors + chicken, bear, monster). Reunion! with parents for 20 minutes then return for dinner. O-teamers sing about meatloaf (SHUTTHEFUCKUP.) Sat down with Kevin (from high school) during dinner and make fun of everything. Cop: Everyone at college gets raped and/or arrested! WTF. Really, really long, badly-improv'd skit involving every possible college scenario, ever. Split up to "discuss" skit. FREEDOM FINALLY. Skip the ice-cream social in order to check into dorm (what a bitch that was). At approximately 9 I finally entered my dorm which was a combination of a bad hotel room + prison cell. I took pictures. Called my cousin, saw her dorm at Hercules, couldn't find Jolene. Sat briefly to watch an Open Mic show thing where emo kids sang. Went back to dorm, slept on an uncomfortable mattress. DAY2 (The day that actually mattered). Wake up, get ready, go to breakfast with another girl. (Would've gotten lost without her.) Ate in the "marketplace" and were just about the only ones that did. Found Ballroom again, very early, check-in, split up again to find another random classroom, hopefully without getting too lost. Back to advising groups, chose classes (yay!!!), Key West 218 again for more presentations. First one put me to sleep, second one was better (+ free crap). Escaped, met up with Jolene for lunch @ Chick-fil-A, applied to work at the bookstore, and back! up! stairs! for registration overview (which was unnecessarily confusing). AND FINALLY REGIsTRATION HOORAY. ...Rain. ("Oh, come on!") Ran with Kevin, back to the marketplace to find parents and got pretty soaked. (Dunno how I'm going to deal with rain when I'm there.) Went with parents back to bookstore. Got lost. Had to find Flagler Hall to pick up stuff. Got lost. Had to return key. Got super lost again. Then back to parking garage (again got lost). FINALLY, CAR HOME FREEE.

I got all the classes I wanted but I need to do some serious rearranging because they're all on M, W, F. I'd like to give myself a bit of a break. Assuming I don't have to change any of my classes, I'm taking Astronomy, Humanistic Traditions I, English Composition II (AP FTW), and Finite Math.

Son of Tigrin: Tell me..EVERYTHING
awful leisure: oh boy.
awful leisure: Well
awful leisure: I'm completely exhausted and I feel like I just got back from boot camp.
Son of Tigrin: :-) hahaha
Son of Tigrin: you can make it.
Son of Tigrin: what was your o-team group?
awful leisure: Kisha's kritters
Son of Tigrin: haha.
awful leisure: At first
awful leisure: When she took us back to our separate room, she introduced herself and taught us the official kritter call. At first I didn't do it because it was stupid so she almost made me get up and do it by myself
awful leisure: And then we had to introduce ourselves and make some random kritter call, like of an animal or one that we made it up. It was really stupid.
Son of Tigrin: ahahaha
awful leisure: That was the stuff that annoyed me the most, all the "LET'S ACT LIKE WE'RE IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL" stuff.
Son of Tigrin: did you see brett's sabretts and CCNKK?
awful leisure: Yup
Son of Tigrin): haha
awful leisure: My friend had Brett
Son of Tigrin: ou
awful leisure: I ran into three people from my school.
Son of Tigrin: nice
Son of Tigrin: okay, keep going
awful leisure: alriiight...uh
awful leisure: The tour was reeaallly long, of course.
Son of Tigrin : ours wasn't like really long...-shrugh.-
awful leisure: Ours was. She showed us pretty much everything she was supposed to. When my friend went, they all decided they didn't want to go on the tour so they didn't have to walk at all.
Son of Tigrin: haha.
Son of Tigrin: sorry you didn't get someone cooler. ;/
awful leisure: Actually, she was cool. She likes Rent.
Son of Tigrin: haha
Son of Tigrin: ohhh your schedule = ?
awful leisure: I got all the classes I wanted but I really need to fix the times.
Son of Tigrin: ah
awful leisure: I have everything on M, W, F.
Son of Tigrin: what classes?
Son of Tigrin: eww
awful leisure: I have astronomy, english II, Humanistic traditions I, and finite math.
Son of Tigrin: ohh when is astronomy?
Son of Tigrin: oh it'd be a mwf class
Son of Tigrin: when is finite math?
awful leisure: yeahuh
awful leisure: Finite is the one that really needs to get changed
awful leisure: I started getting desperate and really annoyed so I took what I could get and it's at 7:30 am.
Son of Tigrin: e.x ew
awful leisure: Obviously if I don't change it, I'm failing because I'm not going to class that early.
Son of Tigrin: i wish you had the 8:30
Son of Tigrin: i have it at 8:30
awful leisure: I'll see if I can re-work everything.
awful leisure: See, I had a problem..
Son of Tigrin: -nod.-
awful leisure: When I first started, I was all set, I had all my numbers and I started right at 1:45
awful leisure: I plugged in all the numbers and three came up as errors so that sucked.
Son of Tigrin: eh
awful leisure: My AP grades didn't come in so she had to override me for English...and then..finite math, it told me I needed a lab but then it wouldn't let me sign up for a lab so that was really frustrating. Eventually I just picked one without a lab but I had stuff already during all the regular times.
awful leisure: 7:30 was the only one. But I don't want all my classes so close together like that so I'll see what I can do. I'll probably try tomorrow.
Son of Tigrin: meet anyone at orientation?
Son of Tigrin: and what was your other group? cahcos1?
awful leisure: Not really. I'd meet someone, talk for a few minutes. Or I'd walk with someone to try to find a building but I don't have a new BFFFFF or anything. I am so bad at being friendly, it's not even funny.
awful leisure: Yeah, I'm cah/cos1
Son of Tigrin: haha
Son of Tigrin: what'd you think of the 5 of them peoples?
awful leisure: They were cool. It was funny just to listen to them talk amongst each other.
Son of Tigrin: hahah yeah
awful leisure: And the one advisor, Chris, was mad hot, ahahaaa.
Son of Tigrin: which one was that?
Son of Tigrin: the short haired one?
awful leisure: Umm
Son of Tigrin: i dun remember..the girls weren't too attractive
Son of Tigrin: xD
awful leisure: I dunno, maybe we didn't have all the same people. Did you have Jason and Sally as O-team members for advising?
awful leisure: It was them, the pregnant Legends of the Hidden Temple head lady, Chelsea, and the Chris advisor guy.
Son of Tigrin: hahaha, yeah, lol
Son of Tigrin: did you go "omgz0rs!"
awful leisure: Well the people up there, when she said it, were like, "*SUPERHUGEGASP*"
awful leisure: And she showed them the episode too.
Son of Tigrin: haha.
Son of Tigrin: did you remember when i said that though?
Son of Tigrin: xD
awful leisure: Yup
Son of Tigrin: what do you think of the campus?
awful leisure: It's so freaking huge
awful leisure: I got lost so many times.
awful leisure: I have a bad sense of direction, I swear the map was backwards, and everything looks the same.
awful leisure: Oh, I invented a game to help myself learn my way around the campus.
Son of Tigrin: oh?
Son of Tigrin: -is good with directions.-
awful leisure: I decided that the week before classes start, I'm gonna get as many lost freshmen together as I possibly can, have a map and have someone pick out a random spot on campus. Then we all try to get there without getting lost. Whoever gets there first picks the next spot to find.
awful leisure: Otherwise, I don't know if I'll ever find my way around.
awful leisure: I applied to work at the bookstore today.
Son of Tigrin: nice
Son of Tigrin: haha, i'd win each time for that game
Son of Tigrin: ^.~
awful leisure: That's fine
awful leisure: Because I wouldn't
Son of Tigrin: heh
Son of Tigrin: Tell me more
awful leisure: Well yesterday was basically a big, fat waste of time.
Son of Tigrin: hahaha why?
awful leisure: Except for the actual stuff for classes.
awful leisure: Well because
awful leisure: I know how to spell "UCF" and I don't really need to do it 4 times during every different session.
Son of Tigrin: lmao xD
Son of Tigrin: cynical much?
awful leisure: You didn't find that at all annoying?
Son of Tigrin: i did...but i got over it
Son of Tigrin: i didn't like that crap in the morning on the second day
awful leisure: It was the opposite for me. At first I was getting into the school spirit thing, then I was just getting pissed. I was exhausted and it's like they manipulate you into making a fool of yourself. The games were the worst.
awful leisure: Today was okay
awful leisure: It was more serious, which I liked.
awful leisure: So tell me, did you end up as a monster, bear, or chicken?
Son of Tigrin: uh.. i think i ended as a ...
Son of Tigrin: bear?
Son of Tigrin: i was a chicken forever
awful leisure: I was a monster, muahaha.
Son of Tigrin: psh
awful leisure: But I only did it twice
awful leisure: So whatever.
Son of Tigrin: hah
Son of Tigrin: did you get your id?
awful leisure: yup.
Son of Tigrin: eat at chick fil a?
Son of Tigrin: but besides the size...what do you think of the campus?
awful leisure: Yeah, I met up with my friend and we had chick-fil-a.
awful leisure: I feel bad for whomever has to stay in Flagler Hall
awful leisure: That's where I stayed last night and I felt like I was in a prison cell.
awful leisure: Oh, I have a story about what I had to do to get into the dorm, wanna hear?
Son of Tigrin: sure
awful leisure: Alright so since I hadn't gone in the night before, my parents dropped off my stuff at the desk near the ballroom and I was told to ask an o-team member to help get me checked in. Simple enough.
awful leisure: So I find Kisha and she's like, "Do you know where blahbalhbalhska is?" "...No." "Do you want me to take you there?" "Yes." So I go get my stuff and it's like, you know, a 45 min. walk. And I forgot to pay attention to where I was going because we started talking about Rent and stuff. So she drops me off at the office and says they'll take care of me.
awful leisure: This guy gets my key and stuff. "Do you know where Flagler Hall is?" "...No." So this girl offers to take me. She sort of walks walks me and there and then kinda points at it, rambles on about which side of the building I'm on, and walks away.
Son of Tigrin: and?
awful leisure: So I go to open the door...and it's locked. And I don't know what to do. But, miraculously, the same girl comes walking into the lobby just then. She went through a different way, apparently. So she opens the door, apologizes, rambles about the key. I go to the elevator and try to go up. At first I thought it wasn't working so I panicked slightly but everything was fine. I get up there and there are two doors you can go through. Both look the same. I pick one and start messing with it. Again, can't open it. But guess what! There the girl is on the same floor. She apologizes yet again, and opens it for me and helps me find my room, walks away. So now I'm struggling with the key. I keep putting it in, it beeps, but the handle won't move and I had no idea what to do because there was no one around. Finally after like 10 minutes, another o-teamer is all "HEY!" walking by and stuff and I was like "WAIT STOP HELP" so she shows me how to use the key (finally) and it took me like 4 tries because you don't actually use the handle to open the door, you just turn the key, and no one decided to tell me this.
awful leisure: It was so frustrating. It's actually really easy to open but it would've helped if someone would've told me how.
Son of Tigrin: x.x
Son of Tigrin: ;/
awful leisure: By the end of the first day, I was thinking about transferring.
Son of Tigrin: awwww :-(
Son of Tigrin: how do you feel now?
awful leisure: Alright. Because now I have something accomplished, my classes and stuff. I mean yesterday I was so exhausted and all the o-teamers would do was cheer and then the cop came up and told us how we're going to get raped and tasered...it was very frustrating.
Son of Tigrin: lmao.
Son of Tigrin: did you get a rape whistle?
awful leisure: nooo
awful leisure: I want one!
Son of Tigrin: :-(
Son of Tigrin: i'll lend you mind
Son of Tigrin: xD
awful leisure: They just kep telling us that phone number
Son of Tigrin: did you get any free stuff?
Son of Tigrin: did you think about any of the clubs?
awful leisure: Not really.
"You gotta hold your hand out 'cause the steam makes you angry..."

FLA;KSJFASLDFJAPWEIFJASO;DFIJODSA. I have to go to orientation for UCF tomorrow and things are not starting off well.

You ever have one of those days where a lot of little things just really start to bother you? Because that's what's happening to me. I just burned my hand with my straightening iron (because I'm not already angry that I burned myself in the first place, now I have to feel like an idiot because it was done with a hair product) and consequently banged the same area of my hand really hard against the kitchen counter. So now my hand is a constant source of throbbing annoyance.
But on to things that matter, apparently I was supposed to be at UCF, oh, five and a half hours ago since I chose to stay in a dorm overnight and I didn't realize this included two different nights. OH HAPPY JOY. I figure it's probably not a big deal but my mother thinks it is so she starts OBSESSING over what else I must be missing for tomorrow and starts digging through The Folder where I keep all this stuff from school. We're talking from kindergarden through senior year. So then she suddenly feels like checking up on my financial aid and refuses to believe that I have done it myself. So she makes me login to the site and, OH, just my luck, my password isn't working. So I sat there for like fifteen minutes trying to guess what my stupid password was while she is BREATHING over my shoulder, which has got to be the most annoying thing in the world. (For the record, one of my pet peeves is anyone looking over my shoulder while I'm doing something.) So I started getting pissed off because there are certain passwords that I use and I never change them but none of them are working. I was getting desperate so I started trying the same ones over and over and LO AND BEHOLD one of them finally works. THANKS UCF FOR MAKING THINGS MORE AGGRAVATING. So I login to the site and all the money I have is there. Just like I told her it would be. This is right after she started screaming at me for being lazy and never taking care of anything myself. Currently my parents are yelling at me to go to bed while simultaneously asking me to look up directions for them and load a program onto my laptop because now we have to take it since he always seems to wait for the last minute to prepare himself for the class that he teaches. Uhhh okay.

I'll be leaving tomorrow morning...at five...in the morning...that's 5 AM...and I'll be back sometime on Thursday. It really should be "fun." There is nothing more exciting to me than being grouped in with three or four hundred complete strangers. But that's what I asked for - to meet new people, right? Right. I'm gonna try to hang out with Jolene and my cousin, The Other Bianca, since they're already living there so hopefully that'll work out. That'll be cool.

I'll see you all when I get back.

So kiss me good-bye; honey, I’m gonna make it out alive.

I'm going to assume that most of you have heard about Snakes on a Plane and if you haven't, you can learn about the forthcoming cinematic masterpiece (or travesty, depending on how you view it) here.
Today I come instead to share the music video from the movie's theme song. I really can't describe it; it's just amazing on so many levels. It’s stupid and hilarious and fun to dance to and just overall entertaining. But unfortunately, even though it looks like the soundtrack will be something to look forward to, it's still hard to take anything concerning this movie seriously. Anyway, this particular song is from the band Cobra Starship, which is a side project of four members each from a different band also featured on the soundtrack. If nothing else, the video features a cameo from both Pete Wentz and Samuel L. Jackson. So...please watch and enjoy and perhaps some other equally crazy person will be able to understand why I’ve had this song stuck in my head all day and suddenly look forward to seeing this movie.

This is such a perverted song that I can't decide on a line to use as a subject.

My friends and I have this game where we compare the various sketchy guys that try to contact us on myspace. So far I believe that Jolene's had the largest number but Shoshannah's had the weirdest. Her most recent suitor has messaged her multiple times to see if she'd be interested in playing the role of a dominatrix. I was a little nervous about turning 18 because, well, I'm not a minor anymore. So, after less than a day of being 18 years old, I already have random people trying to contact me. And I do believe that I AM THE NEW WINNER, thanks to this character here.

Invite?

So we all know that I suck at life and that I like to procrastinate. So I've just now decided what I'm doing for my birthday.
I'll have a pool party at my house (on Saturday). Bring, obviously, a bathing suit, a towel, and a water gun because we're having a watergun fight, like it or not. The party will start around 3 and we'll have pizza in the evening. Maybe Jessica can bring DDR, that's if she can even come. It'll end sometime at night so come if you can and stay for as long as you want. I don't really care. I figure this can't turn out any worse than my 16th birthday party. If you need directions to my house or anything, just leave a comment.

This is how I spent my fourth of July. None of it makes sense, and there's a huge watermark on it, and most of it is us sniggering at our own lame jokes but that's why I like it so much. It's possible that I'll get around to changing it up a bit...but maybe not.

Also, my birthday is on Saturday and I would like to do something and the best idea I've come up with so far is to have a watergun party. Details will follow eventually...

A boy went back to Napoli because he missed the scenery, the native dances and the charming songs.

I am behind on posting pictures, as some of you have so graciously reminded me, so I'm starting with these from Jolene's birthday party. The theme was Classic Movie Stars, even though none of us really dressed up as anyone specific. I regret using black and white film but let's just pretend that it's still a good idea, for my own sake.
I'm not just one of your little toys; You don't own me, don't say I can't go with other boys.

awful leisure: Name something that girls generally do that annoys you.
El Zubis: damn
El Zubis: i have to think about that one
El Zubis: there's so many
awful leisure: Ok, well tell me a few then.
El Zubis: they get mad at you cause you cheat on them i mean COME ON
El Zubis: lol jk
El Zubis: hmmmm
awful leisure: Maybe I'll make this a livejournal post.
awful leisure: And maybe everyone will start arguing.
awful leisure: That would be awesome.

Got it? Just tell me something general that people do in relationships that gets on your nerves. I guess you don't really have to argue if you don't want to.

I've already asked a couple of you this question but I figured I'd get more responses this way. And I promise that there really is a point to this but I'm not going to reveal what it is just yet.
